My name is Vicki and I’ve been painting with encaustics for about eight years. At my day job, I manage a business office and I love every minute in that logical, fiscal, detail oriented world.
So how did this girl with a degree in accounting end up painting? I think I owe my love of creating to my Mamaw. She made cakes, she painted, she crocheted, she mastered the internet in her 80’s and was making Facebook videos in her 90’s. What an inspiration! I’ve always loved to craft and create. They say necessity is the mother of invention. For me, necessity is the mother of my creativity. Whether it’s refinishing furniture or creating a painting, I just love making my home a more beautiful place.
I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned over the last eight years and I know there is so much more to learn. For now, I’m enjoying every minute. Thank you for following along.
